Internatioanl Women's Day 2013
Yesterday it was International Women's Day and we hosted a pamper evening in the shop. We raised £240 for women worldwide! Fantastic!

Living Below the Line!
Here at Oxfam Stowmarket I am going to take the Live below the Line Challenge!
I have to live for 5 days, on £1 a day for all my food and drink!
Yes it can be done, and I am aiming to raise £50 for Oxfam GB
This will take place between 29th April - 3rd May
And I encourage everyone to take the challenge!
It is only 5 days and will save you a bunch of money and put our lives in perspective of others worldwide who really do live on £1 a day!
There are a bunch of rules, however it really is quite simple, you can only spend £1 a day on all three meals, you can't just skip food for 5 days and tap water is free. And this experience still wont be how thousands live every day!

Been too long!
I havent had a good blogging session in aggges! Been crazy busy.
Well Both me and the shop have been busy. Unfortunatly we have been very quiet customer wise but there is always something for us as a team to do! Always
Recently we have had a few different sales, after christmas sales, We had a 3 for 2 on all music, Buy one get one free on all books and also 70% off new products. But soon we will be bring out our easter products. I have had a sneak peak, They are fantastic and I just want to eat them all, Now!
So look out for some fab eggs and other fair trade chocolate products in store as well as all of our red nose day products, These will be on sale in March.
Our shop is looking particually nice at the moment, after the christmas festivities, You always get that low, a little low in everything, Your money and your mood too! But we have the remedy for both of those. The bright and cheerfull colour of our shop just lifts your soul and the prices are a steal!
Cant really go wrong really!
Plus (an insiders secret) We have some great donations, The density and the quality is at a all time high for us.
The next move on the game of Oxfam will be our Pamper evening. Free on the 8th March? Well we are celebrating international womens day with an evening of friends and family doing what us girls do best, Pampering.
The thought of all of us women together being pampered really puts Oxfams message into perspective. For most of us, having a little pamper is normal, worrying about that wrinkle or spot hiding on your forehead is a bit stressful. But something we dont have to even think about is our daughters being denied a decent education in humaine conditions, or the possibility of death due to child birth. Wouldn't even cross your mind on a day to day basis, However worldwide in the poorest countires, This is reality! And it is horrifying.
So joing us girls, and Lads too are more than welcome! We are selling tickets for our event, £5 (or £3 with a donation) And this entitles you to a free glass of your choice and as much cake as you can eat!
We ar also having a raffle, some fantastic prises, We have everything from Nail varnishes to Breakfasts!
Hopefully we will have many more events to raise much needed funds for both our shop and such a fantastic charity!
