Bernard Blossac Illustrator

One of my Favourite books on my shelf, is '100 years of fashion Illustration' by Cally Blackman.
This book is amazing, I got it as a present when I decided to do fashion at university, so I would recomend this to anyone!
Bernard Blossac was one of the first illustrators that caught my eye, these ones feature in the book and are from 1949, illustrations of Jacques Fath for a Private collection. The couple worked well together, Blossac's illustrations had a nervous yet prominant feel to it, which complimented Fath's bold designs.

Created from pencil and watercolour, So simple and incredibly effective. This is raw talent wich interests me, nothing showing off, just what you see.

I love using watercolour to design and illustrate and looking at these, inspire me to do so. The book, Fashion Drawing in Vogue is also where he is seen, illustrating the latest fashions in 1945 and relevant in fashion today and fashion illustrations.
